SWIRLS OF NURTURE

Sometimes I feel like a creator, sometimes I feel like a teacher,  sometimes I feel like a worshipper,
sometimes I just feel three worlds swirling, colliding, morphing into new worlds . .
. . . yet with each swirl the need to nurture . . .
. . . nurture midst fragile creations, vulnerable artists, emotive questioning soundscapes, wondering and wandering thoughts, midst a church wondering how to create in the image of the One who created all.

I look forward to the day when you will discover that your traumatic experience is making you a better person. While I do not wish trauma on anyone, and certainly not you, my reader, God, in His wisdom, has ordained that our greatest gifts often come from our wounds.

Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. Romans 5:3-5

It is a mystery that God can use suffering to produce perseverance (endurance), which produces character, which in turn produces hope.  Trauma can make us bitter or better.  According to Paul, it depends on whether we ‘glory’ in our sufferings.

In other words, can we believe that our loss is something that God can use for good?

And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28

God uses even trauma for good in our lives. Continue to focus on who God is and on loving God. Remember that you are called according to his purpose. The word “called” means “invited and appointed.”  Even trauma can work for good when we focus on this calling. Through the work of the Holy Spirit, all things will work together for good in your new life.
