SWIRLS OF NURTURE

Sometimes I feel like a creator, sometimes I feel like a teacher,  sometimes I feel like a worshipper,
sometimes I just feel three worlds swirling, colliding, morphing into new worlds . .
. . . yet with each swirl the need to nurture . . .
. . . nurture midst fragile creations, vulnerable artists, emotive questioning soundscapes, wondering and wandering thoughts, midst a church wondering how to create in the image of the One who created all.

Try to identify and address the root cause of your feeling.

Is it fear? Guilt? Depression? Hunger? Poor diet? False accusations? Feeling overwhelmed by all the things that need to be done?

When you identify the root cause of your feelings, you are more likely to be able to do something or be more specific in asking for help.

Don’t be afraid to ask for help. Perhaps you can ask your listener about your feelings.  Sometimes other people can help us identify the root cause.

Work on intercepting the sometimes endless cycle of thoughts to feelings to behaviours and then back to thoughts. Make a positive change in any one of the three areas in order to get a different outcome. Many of the ideas already mentioned can be helpful.  A partial list could include songs, memorizing bible passages, praying, speaking to your listener, drawing or journaling, learning a new skill, or helping someone else. It is God’s desire to do a new thing for you.

Here are his words to the nation of Israel during a time when they could not seem to break out of their cycle of blindness and find their way back to God.

Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old.
Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?
I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.  Isaiah 43:18-19

In faith with prayer, knowing that God will work on your behalf, act on the list in this blog as well as other things we have mentioned in this series.
