Jesus stands with us in our trauma

1 Timothy 2:5 tells us that Jesus is our mediator. “There is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus.” Not only does Jesus stand before God as the One who clears our guilt if we have accepted the free gift of salvation, but he also stands at our side, claiming us as His own, defending us, sympathizing with our struggles, lifting us up when we are weak.

The original Greed word for mediator is paraklētos and means “called to one’s aid”. As we cry out to God in lament, it is Christ who is called to our aid. It is part of His calling. It is part of His character. There is no other God like this! 

You are never alone when you cry out to God.  Christ is with you.
